PCM1754-Q1: The requirement of SCK input

Part Number: PCM1754-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PCM1754

Hi team,

For PCM1754 application, SCK is must need. My customer plan to use an oscillator for SCK input, what is the accuracy requirements? Thanks!

  • Hello Jiawei,

The main requirement for system clock is listed in table 7.6 (System Clock Input Timing) along with Table 1. System Clock Rates for Common Audio Sampling Frequencies.

Datasheet indicates that for optimal performance, use a clock source with low phase-jitter and noise. TI's PLL170x family of multiclock generators is an excellent choice for providing the PCM175x-Q1 system clock. So you can use this PLL as bench mark/guidance for accuracy boundary.
