DIX9211: I2S timing spec

Hello Experts,

My customer would like to know I2S timing spec. I suppose that DIX9211 is identical with PCM9211, so customer can be possible to refer I2S spec of PCM9211. Is my understanding correct?

    Hi Fujiwara-san,

    The DIX version of the part has no I2S input which is why the timing diagram is missing. All the relevant data should already be available in the DIX datasheet.

    According to the datasheet p1, it is listed below comments. It seems DIX9211 is supporting I2S.

    FEATURES
    • Integrated DIX and Signal Routing:
    – Asynchronous Operation (DIR, DIT) 
    – Mux and Routing of PCM Data:
    – I 2STm, Left-Justified, Right-Justified
    – Multipurpose Input/Output Pins 
    -----

    Customer would like to assign I2S input(from DSP) to MPIO_C. It cannot this configuration?

    Hi Fujiwara-san,

    My apologies I misunderstood. Looking closer I see where your confusion is. Yes the DIX9211 supports I2S inputs on the AUX input pins. You can rely on the PCM9211 timing diagram as a reference. Let me know if there are any issues with it and we can look into if the timing is different for the DIX part.
