PCM9211: pcmdevice-linux-driver

Hi,

Currently, I'm using PCMDEVICE codec driver for PCM9211. But, I found the function: pcmdevice_regmap_read() always returned error meaning reading pcm9211 registers failed. I debugged the code, but didn't find the solution. Hope TI can help us fix this issue.

Hi Zimin,

First of all, you should make sure the address is correct.

Could you share us the device tree you used and the log, maybe it help us to find some clues, also, pls check you hardware connection, if the i2c is not stable, that will cause that issue.

Hi Kevin,

Yes, the address is correct. Without loading the driver, in the console, I can run i2cget / i2cset / i2cdump. Looks the driver doesn't release the resource. That's why shows Device or resource busy.

Hi Zimin,

Sorry for the late reply, Can you show us what types of error you got, there should be a error code, It can reflect whether it is a problem with the i2c bus or a problem with the slave device.
