Hi,

I have a product that uses the TPA032D03 10-W Mono Class-D Audio Power Amplifier IC.  This chip is obsolete according to my vendors, and we are looking at modifying our design to support a new chip that will continue to be available in the future.  Does the TPA032D03 have a suitable replacement moving forward?

    Hi, Bret,

    This part is still active... I saw digikey sells them and has a few in stock (at a BIG premium). Mouser also lists them, but they don't have any stock (leadtime is listed as 8-weeks). It should actually be listed as NRND (I need to talk to Marketing), but even then it is still fully in production, it just means we don't want customers designing it into new systems.

    If you decide it will be more cost-effective for you to re-design your system, I would suggest looking at something like TPA3112D1, but no integrated HP amp. We have plenty of discrete HP amps, like TPA6132D2. You will get a smaller package size, cheaper, and better performance by re-designing your board.
