My customer wants to operate AIC3106 to low current consumption mode as shown in D/S. Can you tell me how to set it to that mode? And where can I get a programming guide for AIC3106? Thanks!

    Hi Qiang,

    By default all blocks are powered down on power up or software reset. Then to enable headset detection, the MSB of page 0,register 13 is set to 1.

    Jeff,

    We did the software reset but seems that the power consumption is still higher than the D/S:

    3V3A_AD/DA: 1.506mA

    3V3A_IO: 20.9uA

    1V8A_MIC: 3.623mA

    To verify if we have switched off the device internal function modules, can you tell me which function module is powered down after doing the software reset? Thanks!

    Hi Qiang,

    All blocks are powered down after sowftware reset. I think the label might be confusing on which supply to measure. The first row is DRVDD + AVDD_DAC (The I in front is to say current). The second row is DVDD, not to be confused with IOVDD or DRVDD.

    Can you double check this that the current's you're measuring are the right sources?
