Hi All,

I had few doubt related to DIX4192 IC

1) Master clock and RXCKI can be shorted together or RXCKI can it be left Floating?

2) DIX4192EVM-PDK uses Optical input and is controlled by single RX4+ what about pin status about RX4- .Single connection for RX4 + is enough. If possible can you suggest the alternate part for the TORX179PL  this part      is obsolete

3) BLS pin requires PULL down if not used ?

    Hello Shrinivas,

    From data sheet you  read that the MCLK clock input is typically used as the master clock source for the audio serial ports and/or the DIT. The MCLK may also be used as the reference clock for the DIR. I believe from past experience it had to be shorted together and not left alone.

    While I am not an expert in these components but you can use any fiber optic receiving module instead of TORX179PL. Rx4+ is the non inverting input and I would ground the inverting input.

    As an input, the BLS pin may be used to force a block start condition, so if not used I suggest to use a pull down, usually you don't  want digital input pins to be left floating .
