TPA2011D1: If the cable to the speaker is long

Hi team,

When using long cables (up to 100m) with filter-less amplifiers like the TPA2011D1, is it advisable to have a separate filter?
Also, please tell me how to calculate the filter in such a case.
Also, are there any class D amplifiers suitable for connecting long cables?

Hi Ryu,

For Class-D amplifiers, it is recommended to use a filter at the output of the if the amplifier is far from it.
There are a couple documents you can refer to, depending on if using ferrite bead or LC filter:

Linear amplifiers like Class-AB would not require filter with tradeoff on efficiency at higher power levels vs Class-D.
