PCM6260-Q1: input open diagnostic

Part Number: PCM6260-Q1

Hi team,

One question would like to check with you. One of the input to PCM6260 is the AC differential signal(0~3.3V). Below is the schematic for PCM6260. You can find the AC input portion(SPK+, SPK-) in the red box.

I would like to check with you if this input(SPK+, SPK-) support the input open diagnostic? If yes, how it achieve?

Thanks!

  • Hi Ethan,

All the input pins (both single-ended and differential) support input diagnostics. So you're input connections are okay as-is. If you want to test it you can experiment on EVM or satisfy any conditions outlined in this app note: PCM6xx0-Q1 Fault Diagnostic Features

For example, for open circuit fault satisfy the condition below:

You can read the fault/interrupt status via I2C from SoC or if you're using the EVM, the PPC3 GUI.

    Regards,
