Hello

I have an issue when getting the output voltage around 8V with a 5-ohm load

Configuration:

AVCC-PVCC: 12V

Output filter: 47uH with 4.7uF to GND  (on both OUTx)

9.4uF between both filter output (load side)

                    BSP/N to OUTP/N: 0.22uF

master mode, 1Mhz, Gain of 20,  IN- connected to a resistor divider (3.3V through 2x 5.1 kohm resistors:  mid_point = 1.65V)

when incrementing IN+ to get about 8V on the load, the signal become unstable (pattern repeated at 70Hz)

SYNC clock dissapears (0V) for 9ms and comeback to 100khz for 5ms

IN- : goes to 3.3V and goes down toward normal value when the SYNC clk is back to 100khz

when sync clk re-appears (100khz)

  • OUTP jumps 11V     (normal because IN- is at 3.3V....)
  • OUTN to 0V
  • IN- moves from 3.3V to its nominal mid-point (ramping-down)

when sync clk is 0V steady   (is the controller in OFF/HiZ mode ...)

  • OUTP moves around 6V
  • OUTN  moves around 6V
  • IN- moves to 3.3V

FAULTZ pin stays HI all the time

any ideas that could explain the system reset / idle mode ...?

thanks

Yves
