TLV320AIC3268: Main differences between TLV320AIC3268 and TLV320AIC3262

Part Number: TLV320AIC3268
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLV320AIC3262,

Hello everyone,

i based my design around the TLV320AIC3262 and make some test with the dedicated EVM but i'm realizing that the BGA 0.5mm pitch is little bit more difficult to implement (microvia-in-pad) and also costly.

I'm thinking to switch to the TLV320AIC3268 with package VQFN (size is not problematic on my design).

I checked that my ProcessFlow with PurePath Studio can be ported from 3262 frameworks to 3268, it's ok Thumbsup

May i have your confirmation about the difference between both parts :

  • only one Class-D Output (stereo on the 3262)
  • less GP input (GPI1/2/3/4 not available on 3268)
  • ASI3 is possible through GPIO1/2/3/4
  • only one MCLK on 3268 (while 3262 has 2 MCLK)

if you can highlight the others difference (in case of) for me it helps me a lot.

i posted another topic regarding the TLV320AIC3268, as i'm not able to find the Application Reference Guide of this part.

i'm also looking for the equivalence of the AIC3262 tools (Codec Control) for the 3268, is it provided with Purepath Control ? (i requested it by the form)

Thank you for your support. Blush

Sebastien

  • Hi,

I have the high-level summary of these devices but might not be to the details that you are looking for.

    5543.AIC products.pdf

Datasheets will still be the place to get that.

In AIC3268, the information is now in the datasheet as compared to AIC3262 where it was separated into reference guide.

One thing to note is that we don't have AIC3268 EVM released to to.com.

    Regards,
