RE: TAS2X63EVM: No audio in speaker output

Hi Ivan

I had the same problem, did we find any answer here? or how is that solved?

  • Hi Mustafa,

Unfortunately I can't say if the previous user was able to get a second board for testing.

    • Have you tried with different PCs already?
    • Are you getting the same "TDM Clock Error" when you try playing audio?
    • Are you using the default values from PPC3? Please make sure you're using the correct version of PPC3, there's separate versions for WCSP and QFN package versions of the device.

  • Hi IVan

Actually, we did not try in different computer and did not get the same TDM clock error but it was not playing anything.

  • Hi Mustafa,

Allow me to split this into a new thread for better follow up.

Could you please share the IRQ capture after your test? I'd like to double check if there's any error flag being triggered at all.
You can repeat the same procedure here:

    • Connect EVM to USB and 5V power supply.
    • Power up 5V, this should turn on D1 and D2 LEDs.
    • Open PPC3 and TAS2563QFN plugin.
    • Go to "Device Control".
    • Change from "Tuning Mode" to "ROM Mode" at the top-right drop-list.
    • Click on "Apply".
    • Click on "IRQ" and then "Read" on the pop-up window.
    • Try playing audio through any other software, like media player or web browser.
    • Go back to PPC3 and repeat the process for "IRQ", compare the active flags and please share to double check if there's any error being detected.

  • Hi Mustafa,

By the way, just noticed there's separate thread: TAS2563: Customer Cannot Hear the Audio from EVM - Audio - INTERNAL forum - Audio - INTERNAL - TI E2E support forums

Please follow up only on one of these threads.
