Hi,

During sleep mode, our clock (MCLK ) will stop providing DAC3203 ..

But during this condition , we wish to produce the beep by DAC3203 from its beep generator .

In order for the beep generator to be able to produce the beep

Can DAC3203 self generate the beep without any clock supply ? ( does it have any internal RC self generate oscillator)

Which clock source that the beep generator obtains from ?

Hi Kelvin,

Are the other clocks in the system disabled as well when MCLK stops? ie. does BCLK and WCLK stop as well?
For the beep generator to work, BCLK must be present.

Hi Ivan,

In sleep mode, no external clock is provided; all clocks (MCLK, BCLK, WCLK) , all will stop .

Does this chip has its own oscillator to generate beep?

Does it work with external clock, what is the spec and connect to which pin?

Hi Kelvin,

This device is not able to operate without external clock, at least BCLK or MCLK must be present so that the device can generate its own internal clock tree.
