We have a model with two TAS5822M design, one TAS5882M is responsible for the function of subwoofer power amplifier, and the other is responsible for the function of full frequency speaker power amplifier. The power supply voltage is boosted to 16V by the battery to supply power to the two power amplifiers. We have adopted a mature solution for this battery booster circuit, and our mass production machine is in use.At present, PCBA plays outside the cavity without any problem, but when it is installed in the closed cavity, it automatically turns off after playing for about 15 to 30 minutes. We have installed a heat sink on the back of each power amplifier (PCBA). The size of the heat sink is 45*7mm, and the height is 10mm.May I ask how I should handle this difficult case?E500 .pdfe500 SCH.pdf
Hello Kecheng,
Do you have info on the layer stackup for your PCB? also what fault does it return when it turns off and do you have information on the output during this 15-30 minute period.
best regards,
Luis
The PCB layer of this machine is 2 layers of board, in addition, after about 10 minutes of playing, the power amplifier chip is very hot with the hand.
Sorry, we do not control the temperature control of the detection amplifier through the MCU
In addition, we have another model, which is a single power amplifier output and the power supply voltage is 20V. We have made 2000pcs of products, and nearly 30 defects have occurred. The main adverse phenomenon is that the maximum volume of the power amplifier (maximum main volume, maximum bass and maximum treble) is stuck out.May I ask how to reduce the occurrence of so many adverse events?
Hi Kecheng
The schematic you put here seems not contains TAS5822, could you please give the correct file?
And what is the PWM frequency we are using? For the modulation mode, is it BD, or 1SPW, or Hybrid?

HELLO
I'm sorry that I sent the wrong document. Please see the attachment for the correct schematic diagram. The modulation mode is 1SPW, the PWM frequency is 480k , class D loop bandwith is 120khz.

hello
The attachment is the tuning parameters of the E500 subwoofer and full horn as well as the adjustment points of high, medium and low bass. We have tested the maximum values of high, medium and low in the aging cooker.
hi Han
the sch you attached seems not having amplifier's schematic. can you share me it?
about the thermal issue, can you help double check as below with the thermal tester.
1.without cavity, how much higher the temperature the amp can go?
2.with cavity, how much higher the temperature the amp can go?
3.you are using 2 amps, can you double confirm which one has more higher temp?
some actions might help you.
1. change both setting to fsw = 380k, bw = 80k.
2. not sure what inductor you are using now, using high Isat inductor might help the thermal.

Hello,
the last page of the schematic diagram is the schematic diagram of the power amplifier. I would like to share it with you. My inductance is 10UH, 10*10mm, and it can pass 10A current.
without cavity, how much higher the temperature the amp can go?
43 degrees Celsius
.with cavity, how much higher the temperature the amp can go?
55 degrees Celsius
hi han
i modified your ppc3 file for the mid-range and bass speaker.
can you take a try below 2 files?
what is your load resistance?
10A seems large enough. do you mean its saturation current is 10A?

Hello
1 speaker load resistance IS 4 ohm
2 10A seems large enough. do you mean its saturation current is 10A? Yes
Thank you very much for your help!
