LM48100Q-Q1: Using Vdd to set a short circuit current limiting threshold

Part Number: LM48100Q-Q1

Hey,

I am looking at LM48100Q-Q1 datasheet. It doesn't specify how the Vdd and PVdd rails connected internally. I want to supply 3.3V to Vdd and use the current limiting feature for this part. And, I want to supply 5V to PVdd to get 1.3W of output power. In the pin description, the datasheet states that PVdd is the power supply of output amplifier and, Vdd is power supply for the component.

I think I can supply 3.3V to Vdd and 5V to PVdd.

Could someone clarify this for me? Am I interpreting this correctly?

Thanks,

  • Hi Pahulpreet,

Given the description of section 7.3.4.3 what you suggest should be possible.
However, I would suggest to first test this thoroughly, unfortunately this is an old legacy device and there's no evaluation module available for us to verify.
