Hello,

My customer has questions about Audio output power control method of the TAS5441-Q1.

Q1. If they want to change the output power with PVDD fixed, is it possible to implement this by just setting the output gain without changing the H/W design?

Q2.If possible, can you tell us the gain settings for output? And can you also provide a reference circuit for this application?

Q3. If not, please tell us how to change the output while the AMP is running.

    Hello JH,

    The TLV320AIC3109-Q1 has a volume control that can control the signal level provided to the TAS5441-Q1.  You can set the gain on the TAS5441-Q1 for the highest signal level and then use the codec to reduce the signal for the lower power settings.  This can all be done with software and I2C commands.
