Hi E2E team,

Please help me review the schematic for audio codec+amp, and check the HW setting, such as GAIN and PLIMIT.

Codec: TLV320AIC3107

Amp: TPA3132D2

We will use it to drive 2x10W speakers (8 ohm). The block diagram is shown below:

The following are the parts that I would like to confirm with TI:

1) Regarding the combination of these two chips, is it necessary to divide the voltage at the input side of the audio amplifier?

R1813, R1831, R1822, R1828

2) Separation of digital and analog GND

Hi Caspar

Seems no need to divide voltage, the Codec TLV320AIC3107 output within TPA3132 input range.

Don't separate ground for TPA3132, this device could take as a pure analog part, especially at below picture, is the power ground. Separate in this way, will make the output switching noise very hard to go back to device ground.

Other place for TPA3132 looks good.

Let me transfer this Thread to LPA team to double check on TLV320AIC3107.

Hi Caspar,

My only comment is that if SWIN and SWIP are unused, then SWOUTP and SPOP do not need to be connected. Likewise for SWOUTN and SPON.
