TAS6582-Q1: TAS6582 Low latency path latency

Part Number: TAS6582-Q1

Tool/software:

Hi TI,

There are some questions about the Low latency path,

1. Sampling rate at 48kHz, What is the value of group delay in Low Latency Path?

2. Sampling rate at 48kHz, What is the value of group delay in Normal Path?

3. We need to combine two signals from Low Latency Path and Normal Path, and found some com-filter phenomenon happened.

How much delay do we need to add to Low Latency Path?

Thank you and look forward to your response!

  • Hi,

The datasheet in section 6.5 Electrical characteristics (page 11) has the data you need. The TaudioLA is 22 samples for 48kHz and the TLLPLA is 6 samples.

The Low Latency path is supposed to be a faster path for such things at active noise cancellation.  Why do you wish to have it the same latency as the normal path?

    Regards,
    Gregg Scott
