DRV134: Signal Balance Ratio(SBR) and Common Mode Rejection(OCMR)

Hi,

I am checking the datasheet parameter of signal balance ratio(SBR) in positive value (i.e. 54dB). Generally, higher negative value indicates better common mode rejection. But here both min & typ values are in positive. What I misunderstood? please let me know your suggestions.

Similarly, common mode rejection values are represented same in positive. Could you support me to clarify on this spec?

Hi Dinesh,

We represent all our dB values for amplifiers as a positive value. For example Aol = -120 dB is 1 microvolt of Vos error per every 1 volt step on the output.

Aol = Vout/Vin (definition)

So we invert to Aol = Vout/Vos = 1/1uV = +120dB

Hi Chris,

1. If that is the case both -120dB and +120dB are same?

2. Also, let me know SBR value 54dB is efficient/better than the -40dB?

Yes they are the same because of the inversion. Yes 54 dB is better.
