Tool/software:
Hi TI Team,
I would like to ask you the following questions about TPA3116D2:
Problem phenomenon: 1. We use TPA3116D2 to drive the voice coil motor in PBTL mode as shown below (the lens will be abnormal on the left side, the lens will not be abnormal in other positions, and not every board will be abnormal). When powering on, an individual board was found to be abnormal (mainly manifested as the lens of the galvanometer motor with load cannot be powered on and centered); The attachment video is in abnormal and normal state.
Test 1, we use 15V voltage regulator power supply directly to the power amplifier, there are power anomalies;
2) The good board and the abnormal board to adjust the power amplifier (TPA3116D2) chip, the abnormal board is powered on OK, the normal board is powered on abnormally;
3, grasp the abnormal relationship between 15V and motor current (red: +15V; Blue: chip faultz pin; Green: TPA3116D2 chip output current), the faultz pin of the chip will pull down the error when there is an anomaly;
4, the TPA3116 chip SDZ pin power-on delay pull up, MUTE pin fly line also delay about 2S and then pull up, the test found that the problem still exists;
5, our circuit schematic diagram is as follows: PVCC is 15V;
Question:
1. Why do some boards have abnormal phenomena?
2. When an exception occurs during power-on, what causes the chip faultz pin to pull down?
3. Why is there a larger current of 6A during power-on? Does the current reach overcurrent protection?
