Are there plans for release a driver to the vanilla kernel source or as an out of tree code ? That is, not just for Android.

And if yes, would this driver be able to support cascade mode. i/e 4 devices for 8 (balanced) mic/line channels I/O.

Hi,

There is Linux drivers being developed for TAC5212 device. This should apply for vanilla Linux kernel as well. The current version can be found here:

I will check on the capability for 4 devices in cascade and follow-up with an update on the same.
