TPA6404-Q1: Inquiry on TPA6404-Q1 Output and AEC Integration with DSP

Part Number: TPA6404-Q1

Tool/software:

Hello,

I wanted to inquire if the TPA6404-Q1 amplifier supports a 100W output, specifically 25W per channel across its four channels. Additionally, we are planning to interface this amplifier with a processor and would require Acoustic Echo Cancellation (AEC) functionality, as we will be integrating a microphone into the system.

In this context, we would need to connect the feedback signal from the speakers to the DSP to enable echo cancellation. Could you please provide guidance on how we can achieve this? Any documentation or insights regarding the integration of feedback signals into the DSP for AEC purposes would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your assistance. I look forward to your response.

Thanks & Regards,

  • Abhishek,

The TPA6404-Q1 cannot have all the outputs placed into a parallel mode (PBTL).  Only channels 1 and 2 can be in PBTL and channels 3 and 4 can be PBTL.  The power output will depend on the impedance of the load and the PVDD supply voltage.  It is best to ask what you require and see if we have a device that fits your system.

For your DSP the Speaker outputs would need to have a differential input ADC.  Otherwise, I cannot comment on your DSP connections.
