Hi, We hope to mix ADC(CH1) input signal on DAC(CH1) with a certain gain. And in the data sheet,Fig7-1. Functional Block Diagram(P-21/177), there are feed back loops before ADC to after DAC. In addition Fig.7-17. ADC Signal-Chain Processing Flowchart(P-35/177), there is "Loopback to DAC". Could we mix ADC_in signal on DAC_out with flexible gain(level)? If so, pease teach us  how to setting(By which register? and how to decide the values?) .Best regards,Takahiro Okutsu.

  • Hi Okutsu-san,

You can set the output drive to include the analog bypass signal which you are describing by setting the register below:

The downside is that you will have no volume control over the analog signal. You will only have control of the digital signal and the sum of the two signals.

An alternative is to use the ADC loopback mixer, however this is more complicated. I recommend using PPC3 and opening the "mixer" panel under "advanced" view and using the I2C monitor to capture the necessary I2C writes.

    Best regards,
    Jeff McPherson

  • Hi,Jeff-san, your advice recognized me that there is no level control factor on the analog path. Then I'll study the other way how to do(include a case of DSP software mixing).Thank you very much. Best regards,Takahiro Okutsu.
