We recently used Audio Precision(AP2700) to measure the PSRR of TPA2010d1. According to the measurement method provided by Audio Precision, the measured value is -50dB (20~10kHz). However, during the measurements, we were unable to achieve TPA2010d1's optimal value of -75dB.

We did check TI's audio power amplifier measurements, where choosing a 330 µF electrolytic capacitor for CSVR, along with a 20 Ω resistor for RSVR, creates a high-pass filter with a 24 Hz corner frequency. But the measurement results are still similar.

We would like to ask if there are any recommended measurement methods or any areas we could modify?

Attached is the circuit design. The power supply is 5V, and the load at the output is an 8-ohm speaker

Are LOUTL_P/N grounded during the test? to rule out anything is coupling to the input pins during the measurement

Hi YanChun,

Could you attempt with a smaller supply decoupling capacitor? 47uF is high, And I am wondering if it is effecting the measurement. can you try with 10uF bulk capacitor?

Apologies for the delayed response.

According to our verification, reducing the capacitor to 10uF results in a PSRR value of approximately -60dB at 1kHz.
Do you have any other recommendations for improving PSRR value?

Hi YanChun,

Ksvr spec is -65dB at 217Hz.you are showing -62dB the datasheet spec is also for 3.6Vdd, Ci = 2uF.

Can you refer to section 8.6 in the datasheet and match the configuration more closely to replicate the measurement.

An regarding PSRR the spec is -75dB to -50dB. I assume there is some dependency on the supply. if you take the same measurement at 2.5V and 5.5V is the performance changing?

We attempted validation at different voltages, but the difference in KSVR was only -60dB±1.

However, we also tried using an external power supply, and there still seemed to be a discrepancy.

We will conduct further tests with the power supply isolated.
