Hi,

One of our new design, we are using Audio amplifier details below, to drive the external speaker of 4 OHM, 10Watt.

Part No : TAS5441QPWPRQ1

The speaker interfacing connector is 3 Pin connector in PCB. On O/P lines, is it required ESD protection diodes? if Yes, what are recommended parts.

Circuit implemented same as application circuit mentioned in datasheet.

Hi Gopala,

The TAS5441-Q1 does not require external ESD protection diodes. If you have special system specifications for criteria for ESD on the output of the audio amplifier, you may need to include external ESD parts. Please provide more information and your concerns.

Hi Gregg,

Thanks for your support! Audio application is for Automotive, and the audio interface is from PCBA connector to panel mount connector and then to external speaker. The system is IP64 protected unit.

The audio interface we are looking for ESD protection, please suggested me suitable ESD diodes.

External Speaker: 40 OHM, 10Watt.
