Tool/software:
Hi team,
I have S/PDIF input to RXIN0 and unintentionally had an inverter circuit in between.
It just seems to work fine, but if I invert the S/PDIF, will RXIN0 still recognize it without any problem?
Best Regards,
Ryu.
Hi Ryu,
My guess is that the device still will recognize it input as "valid data" but not necessarily the correct data or the S/PDIF that you are sending;
Thus while you get an output, it might not be what you expect. If you look at S/PDIF control word components, Sampling frequency is coded as 0000 for 44.1 kHz, 0100 for 48 kHz, 1100 for 32 kHz in b0-b3 so by inverting it , you would have a different fs ( for example 1111 which is the inverted of 0000 is not even in the list).
I would confirm the result is correct by sending a sinewave and analyzing the output.

Arash
Hi Arash,
Thank you for your response.
It works fine for normal songs as well as sine waves.
Therefore, I thought that inverting it would not be a problem.
Best Regards,
Ryu.
Hi Ryu, thanks for confirming it works fine with inverted signal. If it works both for songs and sinewave, then it is ok . Thanks for sharing.
