Hi team,

Can PCM5100A supports below clock frequency for specific format?

1. K-Low・・・LRCK : 10KHz,        BCK : 640KHz,      SCK : 2.56MHz

2. WAV  ・・・LRCK : 11.025KHz,    BCK : 705.6KHz,    SCK : 2.8224MHz

    Hello,

    Beyond the popular audio sampling frequencies mentioned in Table 10 in datasheet,  the DAC could work  with the above frequencies and you would get the output alright ( digital 1kHz Sinewave  going in, analog sinewave  at 1kHz  coming out)  However  the THD+N  is degraded.  For example for 48k ,  THD+N is 92db , but  for LRCK : 10KHz, BCK:640KHz, SCK : 2.56MHz  THD+N is  50dB ; and for LRCK : 11.025KHz,   BCK : 705.6KHz,    SCK : 2.8224MHz  THD+N is about 55dB.

    So while it can work at those frequencies, the performance is not guaranteed for those frequencies.
