TAS5825P: connect two horns on both channels

Can I use the TAS5825P to connect two horns on the left channel and two horns on the right channel, both 4-Ω 5-W, the impedance can be adjusted but the power is 5 W. The lithium battery is powered directly at about 8V. This allows one chip to be used for cost reduction.

    HI Winnie,

    This is possible depending on the configuration. The minimum speaker load (regardless of if there is a horn or not) is 3.2 Ohms in stereo mode. You could put the two horns in series on both sides (so 8 ohms per channel) and this would work fine. If you put them in parallel, the speaker load seen by the device would be 2 ohms. Since you are using low power this parallel configuration is likely ok, but you should test this on an EVM before going to production since it is an out of spec use case.
