Hello Audio experts,
My customer chose the DIX4192-a quite old device- to convert I2S signal to AES3(Balanced) and transmit to a bit distant slave board as below.
My question is that a transformer is recommended to reduce noise on the balanced output interface. Do you think it is mandatory? Otherwise I'd like to let my customer not using it.
And could you share a download link for the application SW/GUI?

Hi Jay, I would stay with the recommendation of using the transformer to send the signal to distance.
There is no GUI at moment, long time ago a CD used to be shipped with it but the GUI only provided support for Win XP machines , so I guess that is the reason there is no GUI available anymore . ( see below)

But you can use any I2C programmer or download Pure Path Console from ti.com and use its I2C master to write and read the registers.
