TAS2780EVM: I2C Address selection not working

Part Number: TAS2780EVM

Tool/software:

Hi,

I am trying out the TAS2780EVM with my Windows computer using PPC3. Well, I decided to sniff the i2c communication to see how it works. The odd thing I found is that it works using address 0x3E independently of ADDR SEL jumper J20. This is both from Device Control, register map and Direct I2C typing the following command:

"w 7D 00 01 #Page 0x01"

Does this make sense?

It contradicts the datasheet.

Thanks!

  • HI Leonardo,

the address selection is only polled on power on of the device. any change to the address of the EVM without power cycling won't have an effect. can you confirm the board is being power cycled after the address is changed?

    Regards,
    Arthur
