TAS2563: Complete register map

Part Number: TAS2563

Tool/software:

There are many registers that are mentioned in the datasheet description text but are not included in the register map.

For example the IVHPFC_N0, IVHPFC_N1, IVHPFC_D1 registers.

Is there a complete register map for the TAS2563 somewhere?

  • Hi Arne,

All the registers that are used as coefficients for the different features in the device are kept out of the documentation, we recommend to only write these values with the configuration derived from PPC3 as this tool handles all the required calculations and writing sequences.
What are these register details needed for in this case?

  • Hi Ivan,
is there any chance to get a complete documentation for this device?

We are developing an embedded driver for this audio amplifier and the PPC3 tool is of no use for this.

We can't just write some magic numbers into magic addresses, without knowing what they do.

Furthermore it may be required to adjust some settings during runtime.

There are many more registers that are mentioned in the datasheet but no register addresses are listed:

    • Speaker Impedance: LDS_RES_VAL1
    • Limiter Max Attenuation: LIM_MAX_ATN
    • VBAT Limiter Maximum/Minimum Threshold: LIMB_TH_MAX, LIMB_TH_MIN
    • Brown Out Settings: BOP_TH, BOSD_TH
    • Equalizer Setting description missing
    • Even the register address for volume control DVC_PCM is not documented in the datasheet!
  • Hi Arne,

I'll get back to you tomorrow with a more detailed reg map.
Regarding the adjust during runtime, please note that any changes in device configuration should be done while device is in SW shutdown. This prevents unwanted effects at the amplifier output.
