Hello,
I would like to ask, what is the purpose of capacitors C5, C6, C8 on the eval board PGA2500EVMV2 schematic?
Thank you
Best regards,

HI Martin,
On the PGA8500EVMV2, capacitors C4 and C9 (47uF) are the critical AC coupling capacitors that need to be carefully chosen as they will affect the overall low-frequency response. The blocking capacitors, along with the PGA input resistance, form a high-pass filter circuit. With the typical input resistance of the PGA2500 specified in the Electrical Characteristics table, the value of the capacitor can be chosen to meet the desired low frequency response for the end application
Regarding C5, C6, C8, these are for bypass, high-frequency common-mode noise filtering; but these probably can be adjusted if needed.
We have tested performance on the PGA2500 with this circuit, but there can be some flexibility adjusting the ac corner depending on the application.
Thank you and Kind Regards,
Luis
