OPA132: Treatment of NC terminals

Part Number: OPA132
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OPA134

Tool/software:

HI, staff

In Rev.C, the Trim terminal has been removed and changed to an NC terminal,
so I would like to check the terminal processing method.

OPA132 データシート(SBOS0504C)
The Pin Configuration and Functions describes how to connect NC-pins, but I have an additional question.

1-pin : Do not connect these pin.
(1) Existing layouts for the OPA132 before revision C of this data sheet do not need to be redesigned.

Q1→ A Trim resistor is connected in the user's existing circuit.
Is it necessary to delete the circuit?
Is it okay to connect it without deleting the existing circuit?

8-pin : No internal connection. Float this pin.

Q2→ A Trim resistor is connected in the user's existing circuit.
Do I need to delete the circuit?
Is it okay to connect it without deleting the existing circuit?

  • Hi Cafain-san,

Is it okay to connect it without deleting the existing circuit?

yes, this is ok to leave the existing circuit as well. It is similar to OPA134 from your previous query. There are no internal wire bonding at the defined pins (these pins are floating).

Q2→ A Trim resistor is connected in the user's existing circuit.
Do I need to delete the circuit?
Is it okay to connect it without deleting the existing circuit?

You do not need to delete the circuit. You can leave it as is or not to populate the trim resistor. It is ok to connect it without deleting the existing circuit as the above note indicated.

If you have other questions, please let us know.

    Best,
