Hello,
Could you let us know if TAD5212 can mute by GPIO or hardware way, even though we know mute function can be available by I2C register access.

Hi Imi-san,
Unfortunately, the GPIO for this family of devices does not allow for control of a mute function. I would recommend to develop your own switch to disconnect your input or output in some way if you need to control the mute with hardware.
Best,
Mir
Hi Mir-san,
Thank you very much. TAD5212 does not have GPIO controlled mute function. However we try to do it in another way.
Would you think unsupported FSYNC frequecy and BCLK to FSYNC ratio input enables mute function is one of the way ?
Best regards,
Hi Imi-san,
If you were able to stop the digital audio coming through, that would work as well, like if you put in FSYNC frequency of 0... is this what you mean? Changing the ratio or FSYNC to a different non-zero rate may also mute it, but what frequency are you able to use so I can test it?
Best,
Mir
Hi Mir-san,
Thank you very much for your feedback. The reason I asked was just want to know practical way of mute.
Anyway, this might be resolve our customer issue.
