Routing Adjustments For Linux Kernel 5.15

Part Number: TLV320AIC3100

Tool/software:

Hello,

We are using the TLV320AIC3100 audio codec on a custom board with Linux kernel 5.15. While the driver from the source tree allows us to play audio through the speaker, we are struggling to get proper microphone recordings. The mic input produces only noise, and as the sound level increases, the noise also becomes louder. We suspect this might be due to routing or configuration issues.

  • Could you share the appropriate amixer commands to configure the microphone for proper functionality? For reference, the mic is connected to MIC1RP as can be seen on the attached image.
  • Additionally, we don’t have an evaluation board, so we’re wondering if it’s possible to use the codec control GUI in our setup to check the expected register values and troubleshoot the problem. Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Best Regards.
