TAA5242: CCLK Controller Mode

Tool/software:

I would like to use the TAA5242 without an external microcontroller in hardware control mode and as in controller mode. As far as I understand I will need a clock signal on MD3 to operate the device like that. A couple of questions to this:

How is this CCLK meant to be generated?
Is this possible to use a MEMS oscillator for this?
What is the ideal frequency for CCLK?
Is there a reference design available which uses an external CCLK?

1) CCLK can come from any stable clock generation source. This can be a microcontroller, external crystal oscillator, function generator, etc.

2) MEMs oscillator is fine

3) 256*fs would be the ideal value. This is shown by Table 6-9 in the datasheet. Even if you set the mode pins such that 48k is the fixed FSYNC frequency, I would still recommend a 256*fs clock.
