PCM5101A: schematic review

Here are few comments and recommendations:

1)For Soft mute control since Soft mute on=Low and soft un-mute=High, I would use a pull up to keep it un-muted until mute is needed.

2) It is recommended to use 22-100 ohm series resistors with I2S 

For stereo output   I suggest to use a dual chip like OPA2353 with 2 opamps or 2  LM4990 ICs  as OUTL & OUTR of  DAC needs to go to an amplifier for amplification separately for stereo output. However, for stereo to mono and thus one amplifier, usually  a 1K resistor is used for each output to sum them up.  You can see a reference here :
