Hello!
We are planning to use the TLV320AIC3101 as audio ADC in one of our projects.
Therefore we've got the TLV320AIC3101EVM-K evaluation board which includes the USB-MODEVM motherboard.

To test the settings of the CODEC we use the USB Interface to record audio on the computer.

Unfortunatly we get quite high noise of around -50dbFS as soon as we enable the PGA.
We've already enabled the high-pass filter which improved the noise but no matter which setting we tested we couldn't get to noise below -50dbFS.
Since the datasheet says that the SNR of the ADC is around 92dB, we wonder how or if you can achive that with the evaluation board.

Hi Philipp,

Please include a picture of your EVM jumper settings and how you are connecting the input source. Also what software are you using to record the codec?

Thanks for your message and sorry for the late reply. I have been out of the office for the last two weeks.

Here you can find a picture of the EVM. Actually, we have not changed any jumper settings from the default.

The input source is a dynamic microphone connected to J6 (balanced cabling). But we also tried a short-circuit input.

We are using Audacity and Steinberg WaveLab software.

Hi Jeff!

I think I need your help with this question:
We are using AIC310x EVM GUI for testing. I can't find any I2C related setting in the GUI, apart from "Interface" which in the CLI-Tab which is set to "I2C Fast Mode".
Is this want you meant? If not, would you please describe which settings exactly you need to know?

Hi Phillip,

I'm looking for the register dump or I2C configuration script of the I2C settings being used on the codec. The AIC310x EMV GUI will automatically log all I2C commands according to whatever buttons are pressed in the GUI.
