TLV320AIC3204: Device Revision functionality

Hello TI Experts,

We have a TLV320AIC3204 device that shows different revisions (F and G) on the label.

After decapsulation, all die markings are the same except for the FEEE (revision F on label) and GGGG (revision G on label).

Does the revision on the label correspond on the die marking? Are there any difference between the 2 revisions in terms of the functionality?

I have attached the photo of both label and die markings.

Hi,

These two different revisions should have the same functionality. They were manufactured slightly differently but they should function identically. Let me know if you need more help with the devices.

Thank you for your quick response. Just a follow up question, you have mentioned slightly different, can you state that slight difference as a result of a new revision?

Hi Chris,

Sorry for my misleading response. This revision is an internal indicator that the manufacturing process was improved but performance is the same for customers.
