Hello TI,
We are facing an I2S communication issue between the PCM9211 and PCM5252 in our design process. Initially, we configured the PCM9211 in ADC mode to drive the PCM5252. Upon checking the registers, we found that the PLL is locked (REG: 04 = 01), and SCK, LRCK, and BCK are present, detecting an fs range of 32–48 kHz. However, the issue is that the detected SCK ratio is incorrect (SCK ratio not allowed), with the following register values: REG: 5B = 30, REG: 5E = 0E, and REG: 5F = 01. Additionally, REG: 76 = 081 power state indicates "Wait for CP voltage valid."
We have tried multiple register configurations for both the PCM9211 and PCM5252, especially adjusting the XTI source clock frequency setting (REG: 31) in PCM9211. We have experimented with various SCK and BCK clock settings, but the issue persists. In some configurations, the PCM5252 PLL even becomes unlocked.
Could you please help us resolve this issue by providing the recommended register settings for PCM9211 and PCM5252?
Best regards,
Harikrishnan
