TAS5760XXEVM: TAS5760xx

Part Number: TAS5760XXEVM

Tool/software:

Hello,

I am using TAS5760xx EVM, when I send the audio data, output at OUTA am getting, at OUTB no sound is coming.

I am using it in Hardware mode.

1. To get different sounds simultaneously at OUTA and OUTB, what should be done.

2. To get same sound at OUTA and OUTB, what should be done.

  • Hi Prerna,

To get the EVM to play audio in hardware configuration, you will need to ensure that the hardware mode option is selected and that BTL mode is being used in PPC. If the device still only has one channel of audio playing, it may mean that your audio source is mono and not stereo.

  • Thanks for suggestion.

Can you provide solution for below two questions

     1. To get different sounds simultaneously at OUTA and OUTB, what should be done?

    2. To get same sound at OUTA and OUTB, what should be done?

  • Hi Prerna,

Assuming the configuration is in BTL (two speakers on the outputs) and in hardware configuration, the audio you get on each channel's output (Out A or Out B) will be dependent on the input audio data. To get the same audio on both outputs, the same data will be need to be sent on both channels of the I2S input. To get different audio, different signals will need to be sent.
