TAC5242: Using Codec to Test ADC Performance

Hi Teams,

The customer wants to make a test board to test TI's ADC performance. They don't plan to use SOC, it's too complicated. Can we use the TAC5242 chip to design it in this way, using controller mode, MD3 input a 24.576MHz clock signal or 12.288MHz active clock, and then short-circuit the DOUT-DIN of the CODEC so that the audio signal entering from the ADC can be directly transmitted to the DA channel. This makes it easier for them to test.TAC5242.pdf

    Looks pretty good, my notes are to (1) make sure the AVDD capacitors are placed physically close to the chip, and (2) the OUT1P/M and OUT2P/M outputs should not be connected, instead just leave the two outputs disconnected (no capacitor between them) and keep them connected as you have it to the other chip in your system.
