TAS5827EVM: Can't Access Device A

Hi,

When I click "Connect," it successfully connects to the device but then displays a "Can't Access Device A" error. I have the device set to External Customer Boot Mode with Software Control Mode. Previously, I had no issues connecting. I've tried using a different USB cable, double-checked the jumper configuration, and confirmed that the IC is receiving power, but the problem persists.

Pure-Path Console :v3.2.1
TAS5827: 3.0.9

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Hi Shahil,

Does the USB ready light (blue led) turn on when power is supplied to the device and the usb is plugged in?

Hi Ramsey,

I forgot to mention that I'm supplying 12V via PVDD_EXT and GND. When I turn on the power supply, the blue LED does not turn on. However, the blue LED lights up only when I plug in the USB.

Note: There is no current draw when I turn on the power supply.

Hi Shahil,

Can you probe the I2C test points to see if data is being sent? Make sure PVDD is supplied.

I scoped the SCL and SDA XMOS. These signal come when I click connect on PPC3

Sorry, I should have mentioned that the first signal is CLK. It pulses 9 times twice and then remains high. The image below is SDA line zoomed in

I found the problem—the PDN toggle switch was in the wrong position, likely knocked out of place while I was moving the board. Everything is working fine now. Thanks for your help!
