TAA5242: 96kHz fs operation in 1.8V IOVDD

Hello,

Our customer would like to confirm about 96kHzFS 64FS operation at 1.8V IOVDD. Can we understand TAA5242 is able to support 6.144MHz BCLK for 96kHz/64FS in 1.8V IOVDD as it is shown in Table 6.7 in the datasheet.

Are there any application limitation especially in internal PLL function in 1.8V IOVDD use case.

If there are any limitation if a customer use 1.8V IOVDD, please let us know.

Hi Imi-san,

If you are supplying the BCLK and WCLK, then there should be no issues with the PLL function, the device supports those rates with 1.8V IOVDD. If you are using the device in controller mode supplying an MCLK (also called CCLK for this device), the MCLK has a limited range, to 256 or 128 x FSYNC, or to an automatic mode clocking config specified in this app note: https://www.ti.com/lit/an/slaaeg6a/slaaeg6a.pdf

I do not think there are any limitations based on the 1.8V vs 3.3V IOVDD.
