TAA5242: mode transition from sleep mode

Part Number: TAA5242

Tool/software:

Hello,

Our customer has a question how to return back from sleep mode to normal mode.

Does the customer just input CLK in order to return TAA5242 back to normal mode from sleep mode.

Best regards,

  • Hi Imi-san,

Yes, to get out of sleep mode, you will need to provide ASI clocks. If you are using the device in target mode, you will need to supply BCLK and WCLK, and in controller mode, supply MCLK and any external clocks used.

Let me know if they have more questions about this.

    Best,
    Mir

  • Hi Mir,

    Thank you for your help.

The customer has some related questions to make sure if he needs power up again.

As long as a customer do not change ASI mode, do we understand he does not need power up cycle again ?

In his application, since he just change the mode from sleep to active vice versa, he is thinking that he does not need power up again.

    best regards,

  • Hi,

Yes, if the power stays constant to the device, it will automatically leave sleep mode when ASI clocks are applied and all settings will stay the same - especially for a hardware controlled device like the TAA5242. No power cycling needed.

    Best,
    Mir
