TAC5212: Interfacing Audio Codec (TAC5212) and Audio Amplifier (TAS5815) with processor

Part Number: TAC5212
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TAS5815,

Tool/software:

Hi,

For the below mentioned Audio requirements, i have configured an audio circuitry using TAC5212 Codec and TAS5815 amplifier.

For better understanding, find attached circuit diagram, PDF file indicating our requirement and configured block diagram

It would be greatly appreciable if you could support in validating the circuit and provide us with your feedback.

Requirements:

  1. Used in ATM application to have conversation b/w bank officials and customer
  2. User can use MIC to speak to remote users and their voice can be heard through external 2 x 10Watts speaker
  3. Audio Jack (3 Channels): MIC-1, MIC-2 and Audio output
  4. For real-time audio signals and playback audio, processor is used to transmit audio signals to Codec, which in turn gets amplified in amplifier and heard on speaker.
  5. Capable of detecting headphone connected to jack and switch the speaker connection to headphone
  6. Upon connecting MIC, CODEC must process MIC signals and transfer audio data to amplifier.

Note : Understanding is GPIOs (Multifunction pin) can be used as I2S interface to transfer audio data from CODEC to amplifier. (Ref Table 7-70 in TAC5212 datasheet)
