TAS5825MEVM: TAS5825MEVM

Part Number: TAS5825MEVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TAS5825M,

Tool/software:

I am designing a system with 2 TAS5825M on a custom board, each TAS5825M is driving one speaker in PBTL mode.  The speaker enclosure/speaker characteristics are the same.  I have created configuration for one speaker using following mode on PPC3 with TAS5825MEVM.  Now I want to drive both speakers each of them connected in PBTL mode with TAS5825MEVM by connecting driver A to one speaker and driver B to the 2nd speaker.  which mode should be selected from the listed modes.?

  • hi ASB

if you want to let the amp work together with pbtl mode.

you might need to initialize them separately. current gui cannot do the initialization at the same time.

you can first initialize the A(upper) amp, then click disconnect, insert the usb cable again, you will find B(lower) side on the right above side. choose B, then B amp can also be intialized.

Or you can use another way:

    initialize the A first.

go to end system integration, dump the i2c config file with B amp's address.

then, you can initialize the B by I2C tool.

    thanks
