TLV320AIC3254EVM-K: Acoustic Echo Cancellation example

Hello,

I am working on Acoustic Echo Cancellation using PurePath Studio Portable Audio MiniDSP 5.95 with the TLV320AIC3254EVM-K evaluation board. However, I encountered an issue with the AEC example from the AIC3254 Acoustic Echo Cancellation (0564.AIC3254 Acoustic Echo Cancellation Application Note) file.

I am unable to build the example because the connection between Feedback and AEC32 cannot be established. The error message displayed is:

"AEC32_1, Feedback_1: Cannot create a link between components in different target streams."

Could you provide any insights or guidance on resolving this issue? Also, what does "different target streams" mean in this context?

Hi Filip,

I opened the file and was able to build the code for the example but had you changed anything? I have some warnings that some inputs and outputs are not connected but it seemed to be okay. Here's what the log and connections look like:

Can you verify that you have the same connections with your error?

Hi Mir,

Thanks for reaching out to me. First, I want to mention that I’m not sure why there is no connection between DSP_D_DSP_A_AEC and MonoI2S_Out_AEC in your screenshot, as I am certain that this connection exists in my file.

Second, I am also able to build the code without issues, but my main problem is that I can't connect the Feedback component with AEC_32, as shown in the AIC3254 Acoustic Echo Cancellation Application Note (0564.AIC3254 Acoustic Echo Cancellation Application Note). Here is your example:

Hi Filip,

It looks like the "Feedback" object may be obsolete for this device. We were able to work around this by using the feedback delay object instead, which you can find in the "Basic DSP" dropdown on the left side of the screen. You can bring the delay down to 1 sample. Let me know if you need more help with this.
