TPA2013D1EVM: Document Reference: SLOU194-August 2007

Part Number: TPA2013D1EVM

Tool/software:

Hi,

On the evaluation board circuit R5 is held high for to switch on boost converter.

R6 is held high to enable on class D amplifier.

Both R5 and R6 are 270 ohms, so when the 'shut down' feature is enabled current 18.5mA are still being consumed in both cases.

I thought the idea was to same current consumption when 'shut down' is operated.

Can we change R5 & R6 to something like 12K ohms?

Best Regards,

Harnek

  • Hi Harnek,

You can adjust the value of the resistors for these logic pins.
I think the reasoning for the values on the EVM is to get the proper current for the LEDs, if no such signaling is required you can certainly use a different resistor value.

  • Hi Ivan,

Thanks for your fast response, this has been helpful to know.

I think you are right, the pull up resistor value is more to do with LED current.

    Best Regards,

    Harnek
