Hello,

Our customer is looking for a USB audio class codec, then PCM2900 is one of the candidates. However he needs the device that has fast input to output functional transition time.

Would you please let us know if PCM2900 input to output functional delay time or signal processing time.

if you have faster codec or successor to PCM2900, please let us know.

Hello,

The delay in ADC and DACs is usually dominated by the digital filter in the path and it is a function of sampling rate and thus in datasheets it is something like 8/fs or 17/fs.

You can find the list of our USB CODECs in the following link. As you see the PCM29xx is the only family of CODECs with USB and thus they have the same delay.

Thank you for your feedback.

While we checked the datasheet, 17.4/Fs delay time in typical of ADC digital filter delay time is specified. Would you let us know how this number comes from. Does this number include delay time except for filter delay too.

Hello,

This number comes from design itself and it is the delay of the digital filter itself and has no max or min. This is the only delay you need to consider.
