TAC5112: Does the TAC5112 support Modern Standby?

In Modern Standby state, will the TAC5112 device still be powered up (will the device still have the supplies ON) and active (will the device still received ASI signals)?

My customer's project is still in the consideration stage, and they have not yet reached the stage of verifying the operation of the device, so I do not know.

Does this mean that whether it can be used in applications with modern standby functionality can only be confirmed with actual equipment?

Hi Kyohei-san,

For the Codec to process audio data, it requires:

1) AVDD and IOVDD supplies to still be given to the device

2) ASI signals (BCLK, FSYNC) need to be given to the Codec for the ADC and DAC to process audio data.

Is it possible to share the application where this Codec will be used in the laptop?

Hi Lakshmi-san,

Even in Modern Standby mode, if the above conditions 1) and 2) are met, the TAC5112 should be able to function.

I will confirm this with the customer.

Also, are there any other audio codec products that support Modern Standby?
